Firethorne Welcomes Fall
Season with Opening of Visitors Center
Firethorne,
West Houston’s newest master-designed community,
welcomes the fall season with the opening of its
new Visitors Center November 5-6. The 1,400-acre
residential
development, complete with its sparkling blue scenic
lake, is being designed to carefully combine the
vibrancy of West Houston with the small-town charm
of Katy/Fulshear.
Strategically located on FM 1463 near the crossroads
of the 1-10 West corridor, the Westpark Tollway
and the Grand Parkway, Firethorne will provide
convenient
access to the region's foremost mobility plan
for exploring Houston. “We’re very excited about the acceleration
of activity at Firethorne this fall, with the opening
of our state-of-the-art Visitors Center, along
with
more than 25 homes under construction and our
builder teams’ offices going strong. We have
new homeowners who’ll be ready for move-in
by November,” said
Firethorne General Manager Wayne Meyer.
According
to Meyer, model homes by some of the Houston area's
most respected builders -- Coventry
Homes,
David Powers, David Weekley, Perry Homes and
Plantation Homes – will
be completed by year-end. These Firethorne
builders team members were selected based upon
the highest
standards for design, quality, customer satisfaction
and reputation.

Firethorne, named for a resilient evergreen indigenous
to the Texas prairie, blends with the best nature
has to offer: 150 acres devoted to parks and
recreational amenities highlighted by the 12-acre
lake with surrounding greenbelt, hike
and
bike trails, parks and playgrounds, discovery-rich wildlife observation
area, a natural bird habitat and more. Family
amenities will include a resort-style
multi-level family swim center, sports fields, tennis courts, a competitive
swim center, plus a neighborhood Community Center
with a meeting room and fully equipped
fitness facility.
With opportunities for nature discovery all around,
plus being located in the acclaimed Katy Independent
School
District (KISD), Firethorne is
rooted
in
the spirit of learning. KISD, one of only 14 large districts in Texas
to earn the “Recognized” distinction,
offers unparalleled academic and extra-curricular programs. University
of Houston System at Cinco Ranch and the new Cinco Ranch Branch Library
are just minutes
away.
Firethorne residents will enjoy the vibrancy of
one of the fastest-growing, most desirable areas
in Texas, with special touches of days gone by,
including a milkman
who delivers milk to one’s very door step.
“Our Firethorne milkman will deliver a free gallon of milk to your door
every week for the first six months you live here. It’s our way of being
neighborly and introducing you to the hometown charm of Firethorne,” said
Meyer.
