Richmond Fire Dept. Conducts Rescue Diver Training
at Firethorne
Katy/Fulshear – Oct. 9, 2007. .
. . Ten members of the City of Richmond
Fire Department’s Rescue Dive Team
recently conducted water rescue drills
at the 12-acre Lake Firethorne in the
Firethorne master-designed community.
“We really want to thank Firethorne for allowing us to use their
lake for these rescue exercises,” said Rescue Dive Team Member
Chris Kahl. “We needed a body of water that was big enough and
deep enough for us to dive off of the boat and
the lake was perfect.”
The dive team conducted seven drills on Lake Firethorne, including
stabilizing the boat when divers are pivoting off of it. Lake Firethorne
has a depth of 15 feet.
