Firethorne Kindles Spirit of Community at The Arc of Katy 2009 Golf Classic

Katy/Fulshear – July 29, 2009. . . Firethorne kindled the spirit of community as a sponsor of the recent Consolidated Communications ~ The Arc of Katy 2009 Golf Classic at Pine Forest Country Club. Firethorne Marketing Director Janet Burkett (right) was on hand with Arc of Katy’s John Bunce (left) and Megan Schofield (center) on Firethorne’s Hole #2 of the course. Students who serve as Firethorne guides at the community’s Visitor Center greeted golfers there.
The Arc of Katy works to create opportunities for children and adults with cognitive, intellectual and developmental disabilities, enabling each person to be a participating and respected member of the community and to grow in mind, body and spirit. Arc resources include Day Activity Programs, Expanded Adult Activities, Respite Care, Group Homes & other Residential Services and Family Counseling & Support Education.
